Our house is on the outskirts of Altenmarkt in a quiet, sunny position directly on the cross-country ski run. The ski-bus stop is about 100 metres away, the centre of town is about a 15 minute walk.

Altenmarkt-Zauchensee is the ideal starting point for all kinds of outings, lying in the heart of Salzburg county of it is easily accessible from the A10 motorway (Tauernautobahn). By car: A10 motorway, turn off at the Altenmarkt exit. By train: Arriving from Salzburg change trains at Bischofshofen (direction Selzthal). Regional trains stop at the Altenmarkt railway station, fast trains (Intercity) stop at the Radstadt railway station (3 km from Altenmarkt), pick-up at either station by your hosts (if arranged) or transfer by taxi or post bus.
