St. Stefan is located about 3 km south of the Wolfsberg city centre at the bottom of the Koralpe, a mountain range of the Nordic Alps. The border between the Austrian Federal States of Carinthia and Styria runs along the Koralpe ridge.

In summer the Koralpe region not only provides a vast network of hiking trails with numerous mountain cottages and restaurants, but it is also the ideal area for hang-gliders, para-gliders and model aircrafts.

The first ski-lift was built in 1964 on the area of the Waldrast guesthouse. Today, you find more than 28 km of groomed ski pistes for all levels of ability plus carving piste, free riding area, snowpark for snowboarders and children’s ski school with magic carpet and training lift.

The ski resort Koralpe is situated close to the town of Wolfsberg (about 85km from the city of Graz) in Carinthia and offers a unique travel experience that you will never forget!

With an altitude between 1.550 m and 2.070 m above sea level, the resort extends over 30 km of meticulously groomed slopes, stretching from practice slopes for beginners, over 100 m wide carving slopes for intermediates and advanced to a free-riding area for proficient riders, who would like to try themselves off the beaten tourist track.

Koralpe is one of the widest ski resorts of the South-eastern Alps and boasts with a wide choice of ski lifts, ranging from a detachable quad chairlift with bubble chairs to 4 T-bars, a magic carpet for the younger ones to a baby ski lift, which is free of charge.  .
