Oetz is situated at 812 m above sea level in the province of Tyrol. The community has 2.238 inhabitants and covers an area of 29,2 km²

Mean annual temperature is 6,4 degree Celsius, annual precipitation is 821,4 mm. Rainfall is at its highest in August at 121,8 mm, at its lowest in January at 25,2 mm. It’s warmest in July, coolest in January.
Whats up in Oetz?
As the name suggests, this little holiday village is situated in the internationally known Ötz Valley. Located at the entrance of the 60km valley, Ötz offers ideal conditions particularly for family holidays.
On the village’s outskirts the modern Acherkogelbahn-lift takes winter sport enthusiasts to the Hochötz ski area. 34 kilometres of perfectly groomed ski-runs are situated at an altitude of 2000m. This skiing region is very clearly arranged and is especially suitable for families with little children. Children can join the kids ski school or play at the fun park. Oetz provides all-day child care facilities.
Kühtai and Hochötz – Lots of variety
In 2009/2010 it will be even more rewarding to stay a little longer: several day ski passes are also valid in the Kühtai ski area, which can easily be reached with a free ski bus.
In summer the picturesque village of Ötz is also a top-class holiday resort. Visitors enjoy the very mild climate with many sun hours and very good weather. Even wine is grown in this area. Lake Piburg warms up to 23°C during the summer months and is the warmest mountain lake in Tyrol. The hotels of Oetz are looking forward to your visit.
