The Salzburg municipality of Saalbach lies at an altitude of 1,003m and covers an area of 125.46km². It is home to 2,958 people.

Salbach is host to the yearly "Rave on Snow" music festival, featuring internationally renowned DJs. The “Formula Snow-Event” is the world’s biggest snowmobile race, attracting international celebrities from all branches.
In summer Saalbach is known as Bike-Circus, organising various freeriding and mountain biking challenges, which are suitable for experts and beginners alike. 400 km of maintained and signed hiking trails and mountain biking routes are open to anyone willing to observe the “fair play rules“. Some routes are reserved to hikers, some to mountain bikers and some are available to both. Freeriders will definitely enjoy the legendary Hacklberg Trail or the Bergstadl Trail. Saalbach is member of the “GraVity-Card” project, allowing unlimited access to Europe’s leading biking parks.
