Berwang is situated at 1.342 m above sea level in the province of Tyrol. The community has 594 inhabitants.
Mean annual temperature is 6,3 degree Celsius, annual precipitation is 1.356 mm. Rainfall is at its highest in August at 187,2 mm, at its lowest in December at 63,8 mm. It’s warmest in July, coolest in January.
Located close to the Zugspitze Mountain and the German border, the little mountain village of Berwang is the perfect spot to spend some time in harmony with nature. At 1300 metres holidaymakers get away from the rush of day-to-day live and simply relax in nature.
Especially families love the Berwang ski area. 35 kilometres of pistes include all degrees of difficulty and many training slopes for beginners. If staying longer, the Tyrol Zugspitz Arena Ski Pass is the perfect alternative. It includes a total of 147 kilometres of ski-runs located in the Ehrwald, Lermoos, Biberwier and Berwang ski areas.
During the summer the Berwang Valley is a hiker’s paradise and starting point of 500 marked hiking trails through the Tyrol Zugspitze region. This area is also famous for its wide variety of Alpine flowers. Intact nature is home to rare plants like gentian, edelweiss or special kinds of orchids.
