Ellmau is situated at 820 m above sea level in the province of Tyrol. The community has 2.660 inhabitants and covers an area of 36,4 km² .
Mean annual temperature is 7,1 degree Celsius, annual precipitation is 1.395,4 mm. Rainfall is at its highest in July at 189,3 mm, at its lowest in December at 63,7 mm. It’s warmest in July, coolest in January.
