Ischgl is situated at 1.377 m above sea level in the province of Tyrol. The community has 1.500 inhabitants and covers an area of 103,3 km².
Mean annual temperature is 4,9 degree Celsius, annual precipitation is 701,5 mm. Rainfall is at its highest in August at 100,1 mm, at its lowest in March at 33,7 mm. It’s warmest in July, coolest in January.

Ischgl reached international popularity through top-class events: open air concerts (Elton John, Kylie Minogue or Bon Jovi) staged at the 2400 metre high Idalp create an unforgettable atmosphere. Stars meet for the Top of Mountain Opening Concert at the beginning and the end of the season.
Ischgl is the ideal place for skiers of all levels of ability. 238 piste kilometres include easy as well as difficult ski-runs. 45 state-of-the-art lifts transport more than 93.000 persons per hour. There is no queue time. Take a short trip to the Swiss ski resort Samnaun for some duty-free shopping. The Silvretta Ski Pass includes the entire Paznaun Valley, so have fun skiing also in Ischgl, Kappl and and complete your skiing day in Tyrol.
Conclude the day in the relaxed atmosphere of one of Ischgl’s numerous après ski bars. You will be thrilled by the great ambience of Paznaun Taya, Trofana or Kuhstall. Enjoy a fantastic dinner and then have fun partying (Pascha, Trofana Arena or Fire&Ice).
During the summer months Silvretta Arena becomes a top-class mountain biking area. Mountain bikers love the vast net of single trails, but also the beautiful round trips are very popular. Each year in August the Ironbike Marathon is organized in Ischgl.
There is a lot to be discovered also by foot. Explore the high Alpine terrain on more than 300km of marked hiking trails passing through fantastic scenery.
