In 1492 a pilgrimage church was erected exactly on the clearing where the image had been found. About 200 years later an impressive Servite monastery was constructed. The St. Mary well adjacent to the church was already used in the 16th century. Recent studies confirm medicinal benefits of the right spinning spring water.
