The ski area of Obří Javorník Sud is located in the north of the Czech Republic in the Jizera Mountains. The small ski area extends from 522 meters to the summit of Javorník at 680 meters and is well developed: a modern chairlift carries up to 2,000 passengers per hour. Although the area is quite manageable with two slopes, it does offer a lot of variety. In addition to the normal blue runs, you can let off steam in the snow park or on the ski cross slope. Javorník mountain can be reached in summer via several hiking and mountain biking trails. Those who find the way up on foot too arduous can use the chairlift. Adrenaline-hungry athletes are offered another highlight next to the bike park: the summer toboggan run in Obří Sud Javorník is the longest and most modern in the country. It is fun for the whole family, as you can race down the track in 2-man bobsleds at speeds of up to 45 km/h.
A cool climate prevails in Obří Sud Javorník that is typical for this region of the Jizera Mountains. Short moderate summers are ideal for an active vacation where you can really work up a sweat. The snowy winters guarantee the best ski slopes. There is snow on the peaks up to 160 days a year in the Jizera Mountains.
