Bad Birnbach is located in the “Lower Bavaria Spa Triangle” at 376 meters and is known for its thermal springs. Although the 5,500 inhabitants of the surrounding community were mentioned in documents in the year 812, it was not until the 20th Century that the area achieved fame when searchers came across the hot springs while searching for crude oil. In addition to the Rottal Terme thermal springs, Bad Birnbach offers many other possibilities for recreation-seeking visitors: golfing, hiking, biking or taking a balloon ride provide active relaxation.
The thermal spa facilities were extensively renovated and upgraded in 2010 and now offer visitors highlights such as a salt water lagoon, a vivarium and a textile sauna. Also new is the graduation works: in this cool quiet room, salty water drips over birch branches and leaves you completely relaxed. In the 700 square meter relaxation garden, you can leave behind your everyday stress even on cold days, thanks to an ingenious roof structure. The feratel Bad Birnbach webcam shows live pictures of the outside area of the Rottal Terme.
A “pleasant subalpine climate” predominates in Bad Birnbach. Compared to the rest of Germany, the climate here is quite warm with little precipitation. This provides ideal conditions for a relaxing wellness vacation or spa stay. A feratel webcam shows the live local current weather conditions.
