Things to Do in Bormio
Bormio is a famous winter sport resort. The annual Alpine Ski World Cup has made Bormio famous worldwide. But not only professional athletes love this ski area. The slopes Stelvio, Valbella and Betulle are very popular among demanding skiers and snowboarders. Skiers who are not yet comfortable skiing slopes like this have 50 km of pistes offering easier runs down into the valley. In summer, Bormio is especially popular with two-wheeled vehicle drivers. Many motorcyclists come to Bormio going over the nearby Stilfserjoch, Gavia and Bernina Passes. The surrounding mountain world with its passes und graveled roads also provides attractive opportunities for road biking and mountain biking. And there are no limits to hiking pleasures – hikers will find much to love along the paths and hikes in the Stilfserjoch National Park.

A ride aboard the small red Rhaetian Railway is a special highlight. It goes from Tirano directly to St. Moritz, Switzerland.
