Lenk in Simmental belongs to the Canton of Bern and lies at the foot of Wildstrubel Mountain (3.243 m) at an altitude of 1068 m. The municipality covers an area of 123,1 km2 and is home to about  2400 inhabitants.

The various mountain trails will cater for families as well as experienced hikers. Lenk Betelberg or Stockhorn in Erlenbach can also be reached by cable car.
