Where is Bad Herrenalb located?

Bad Herrenalb is situated in Baden-Württemberg rural district of Calw. It is a spa town with 7,600 inhabitants. The town lies at an altitude of 365 m in the northern Black Forest region and covers an area of 33,03 km².

Alpine skiing is possible at Bad Herrenalb – Gaistal/Talwiese ski resort, at Bad Herrenalb – Neusatz ski lift and Dobel ski lift. The longest piste is about 900 m and starts at Mt. Mehliskopf at an altitude of 1000 m, the ski area is located directly at the Black Forest Panorama Road. At Talwiese in the Upper Gais Valley you find a 2-km-long cross-country ski run offering access to the Northern Black Forest cross-country ski trail network. In the neighbouring Kaltenbronn village there are also the 16-km-long  Kaltenbronn-Grünhütte cross country ski run and the 21,5-km-long Kaltenbach alpine cross country skiing trail. 

Bad Herrenalb is located between Schwaben and Baden, so the regional food is a fine fusion of these two traditional kitchens.
