Where is Schliersee?

The market town of Schliersee lies on the north shore of Lake Schliersee about 50 km southeast of Munich and between Tegernsee Valley and Inn Valley. It is home to about 6900 people and covers an area of 79,16 km². Spitzingsee is at 1090 m above sea-level.

Winter in Schliersee

Sutten - Stümpfling/Spitzingsee/Schliersee Ski Area offers a total of 25km of pistes. Every Thursday and Friday it is possible to ski from 6.30pm to 9.30pm on the floodlit Stümpfling slope. The area also boasts one of the best terrain parks in Germany and 20 km of cross-country trails. The “monte mare“ spa includes a 25m swimming pool, whirlpool, solariums, a big water slide (“Black Hole”), textile steam bath and lots more.

The various walking tours of the Schliersee region range from leisure hikes, e.g. Bockerlbahn walk, to challenging mountain hikes, such as Spitzing-Rotsee tour or Neuhaus-Brecherspitze tour.
