Arcalís is a settlement at the end of Ordino valley in the north of Andorra at an elevation of 2,500 meters. 4,440 inhabitants live throughout the valley with the majority of them living in Ordino, the administrative center of this region.
Arcalís is the perfect place for those seeking peace and relaxation in nature, as there are no après ski bars or large hotels in Arcalís. But the peace comes to an end in the quiet town when the Tour de France winds through the region to the 2,240 meter-high finish line in the Pyrenees Mountain stage in Arcalís. Crowds of people line the streets up to the finish in Arcalís.
The ski resort of Arcalís is located in the Pyrenees and, along with Arinsal and Pal, it is the main ski destination in Andorra. The area is known for its beautiful scenery and excellent snow conditions. Especially families with children prefer this ski resort. A total of 25 kilometers of perfectly prepared slopes are available to beginners and advanced skiers. For snowboarders, there is a half pipe and a boarder cross area. And there are also many challenging off-piste areas due to the excellent snow conditions. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, numerous other recreational activities are offered, such as speed riding, dog sledding, snow buggies, snowshoeing, ice diving and paintball.
In summer, the ski area turns into an outdoor action park. Young and old can enjoy a diverse and exciting vacation here. How does taking a hike on horseback or by 4x4 jeep instead of walking sound? Archery or go-karting will awaken the sporting ambitions of children and parents alike. For those who want an adrenalin rush, the bike park and four-cross downhill run provide just the right challenge.
