Where is Strobl?
The Austrian community of Strobl am Wolfgangsee lies in Salzkammergut/Flachgau, Salzburg. It is home to about 3,640 people and covers an area of 93.88 km². Both locals and tourists enjoy the pristine landscapes as well as the great connections to the city of Salzburg. The state of Salzburg is a very popular destination for all winter sports athletes because of its numerous ski resorts. Strobl, Postalm and Abtenau are big ski resorts and part of Skiverbund Ski Amade. The best-known resorts are Flachau, St. Johann im Pongau, Kaprun, Dachstein West, Russbach and Obertauern.
Where is Postalm?
Postalm sits on a high plateau in the Strobl municipality/Salzburg. 42 km² Postalm is the biggest alp terrain in Austria and can be reached via Postalmstraße from Lammertal/Abtenau and Strobl am Wolfgangsee. 1,304 m Lienbachsattel is the highest spot of this toll road, public buses also use this road. In the summer Postalm is a very popular hiking area while in the winter it transforms into an idyllic ski resort. Postalm ski resort boasts a total of eight km of piste and a winter terrain park with magic carpet for children.

All ski resorts are part of Ski Amade and can be explored with same lift ticket (e.g. St. Johann - Alpendorf, Mühlbach am Hochkönig, Flachau, Zauchensee and Großarl). Tennengau and Flachgau in the summer as well as in the autumn are perfect places to spend some time. Clear mountain air, lush meadows and stunning views invite to explore and enjoy. Abtenau is ideal when travelling without car as it is perfectly connected via public transportation. Abtenau is starting point for numerous outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, running or mountain biking. Karkogel features an Alpine slide guaranteeing fun and excitement.
