Where is Kolsassberg?

Located between Innsbruck and the Ziller Valley on the south banks of the river Inn in the Austrian district of Hall, Kolsassberg forms part of the Tirolean Unterland. It is home to 817 people and covers an area of 35.36 km². Both, tourists and locals enjoy the wonderful countryside of the surrounding mountains, such as Glungezer Mountain, and the proximity to urban areas, such as Innsbruck, Hall and Schwaz. Swarovski is based in the town of Wattens near Schwaz. Swarovski Crystal Worlds attract many visitors throughout the year. Weerberg and Pillberg are popular family destinations.

The region of Schwaz, Wattens, Pillberg and Weerberg encompasses a 100 km hiking trail network. Offers include themed walks, such as “Walk of the Senses” and “Meadow Trail”. Kolsassberg also features many cycling and mountain biking trails. Pertisau am Achensee and its bathing beach is only a 30-minute drive away.
