Hall in Tirol

Hall is a town in the Austrian province of Tirol. Located at an elevation of 574 m above sea level, it is home to 13.587 people and covers an area of 5.54 km². Hall lies in the Inn Valley about 10 km east of the provincial capital, Innsbruck. This medieval town is considered one of the most beautiful Tirolean towns and has one of the best preserved old towns in Austria. Salt production made Hall the most important commercial centre of medieval Tirol. The city arms still point to the importance of salt – two lions holding a salt shaker.
