Where is Umhausen?

Umhausen is a municipality of the Imst district in the western state of Tyrol / Austria. Umhausen is home to more than 3,450 people and covers an area of around 137 km². Located at 1,031m a.s.l. this Tirolean community sits in the Ötztal Alps at the torrential fan of Horlachbach stream and borders the Stubai Alps in the east. Neighbouring communities are Arzl im Pitztal, Roppen, Sankt Leonhard im Pitztal, Sankt Sigmund im Sellrain, JerzensLängenfeldOetz, Sautens and Silz.


Stuibenfall is a 159-meter waterfall located in Niederthai/Umhausen. Stuibenfall is the tallest waterfall in Tirol. It can be explored along numerous trails and viewing platforms.
