What to See in Alassio?
Sun, sea and beach – that’s not all Alassio has to offer. There are many cultural must-sees: the historic Old Town with its old palazzi and churches or Muretto di Alassio, the garden wall. In the 1950s and 1960s it was a popular meeting point for young lovers and today is has become a piece of art covered with texts and signatures of famous people. Explore the local galleries and libraries or stroll through one of the two beautiful parks, Parco di Villa Fiske or Giardini di Villa della Pergola. The parks, the English style mansions on the hills above the town, the Anglican church and Hanbury Tennis Club date from the late 19th century when Alassio became a popular holiday destination for people from England. The small fishing port of Luca Ferrari is also a special place to visit.
