The commune of Gressoney-La-Trinité lies in the Aosta valley region of Italy and is home to around 315 people. . The village is part of the “Walser Communities in the Aosta Valley“ and sits at 1,653 m asl in the Lys Valley. Neighbouring communities are Alagna Valsesia, Ayas, Gressoney-Saint-Jean, Riva Valdobbia and Zermatt.
The villages is situated in the heart of the Italian Alps at the bottom of Monte Rosa, the second-highest mountain range in Europe. Monte Rosa Mountains boast 14 summits higher than 4,000 m – perfect for a skiing holiday in Italy.
The Italian community is famous for its hiking routes up Monte Rosa mountains as well as its vast offer of winter sports activities. Along with Alagna Valsesia, Champoluc and Frachey, Gressoney is part of Monterosa Ski Resort, one of the biggest ski resorts in Europe with more than 100km of piste. The ski resort goes up to 3,250m and covers the area from Gressoney-La-Trinité, Alagna Valsesia and Champoluc. Monterosa Ski features two terrain parks- Champorcher Fun Park for freestylers and Baby Snow Park.

Ski lifts take skiers from the village up to 3,000m Passo dei Salati, La Trinité offers eight lifts transporting visitors between the village centre and Staffal, which is the starting point for 4,459 m Punta Gnifetti or the highest on-mountain restaurant in Europe: Regina Margerita.
Try x-country-skiing or relax at a bar after a long day skiing.
This Italian region is not only perfect for winter vacations but also attracts many visitors from all over the world in the summer. Many hiking trails and climbs criss-cross the region of Gressoney-La-Trinité, some higher than 4,000 m and traditional huts along the way.
Ski lifts are open during the summer and take visitors to Gnifetti, Capanna Margherita, Mantova or Quintino Sella al Felik on-mountain restaurant.
The region is also known for its mountain biking and trekking trails.
Gressoney enjoys a cold temperate climate. July is the hottest month of the year with temperatures ranging from 20°C bis 29 °C, while January is the coldest month with an average temperature of -4 °C.
