Where is Lizzano in Belvedere?

Lizzano in Belvedere is a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Bologna /Emilia-Romagna. It is home to 2,000 people. It sits at the edge of “Corno alle Scale” nature reserve in the northern Apennine Mountains.

The Apennine Mountains are a mountain range extending 1,500 km along the length of peninsular Italy. Its highest peak is Corno Grande (2.912 m) of Gran Sasso d'Italia/Abruzzo region.

It is only 52km to the city of Florence.

Lizzano is the home of the famous “Prosciutto Crudo” and Parmigiano Reggiano.

In October Lizzano celebrates “Tartufesta”– festival of the white truffle.
