Where is Predazzo?

The northern Italian community of Predazzo belongs to the Trentino province and sits at an elevation of 1,018m in the Fiemme Valley. It covers an area of 109 km² surrounded by the Lagorai mountain range in the south and Latemar mountain in the north-east. Latemar is one of the famous mountains of the Dolomites and lies between south Tirol and Trentino. Val di Fiemme is a well-known Italian ski and winter resort, offering outdoor activities such as X-country skiing, skiing, ski touring, biathlon, ski jumping, ice skating or snowshoeing. What´s going on in Predazzo in winter?

The Fiemme Valley is a winter sports centre and hosted three world championships in the past. Two X-country centres and a total of 150km of trails are available for winter sports enthusiasts. Predazzo will also be one of the venues of the 2026 winter Olympics “Milano Cortina 2026”. Latemar – Obereggen - Pampeago - Predazzo ski resort is especially suitable for families, featuring 49 km of perfectly groomed piste of various degrees of difficulty, and 18 lifts and gondolas. Where to go hiking in Predazzo in summer?

South Tirol and Trentino are just perfect for hikers who can choose from a wide range waymarked trails crisscrossing pristine landscapes. Both mountain bikers and race bikers will love the multitude of trails, mountain roads and passes - Passo Rolle, Manghen pass, Passo San Lugano, Lavazé Pass or Karer pass. In good weather visit Obereggen high-rope garden or the via ferratas through Rosengarten and Latemar. On a leisurely hike to the numerous mountain huts, you will be thrilled by the local delicacies offered. The region is also known for its cultural highlights: the parish church of St. Nikolaus and St. Ulrich, Thurn Castle in Predazzo. Hotels and accommodations are available in the winter and in the summer.
