The Neusiedler See region climate greatly differs from most regions in Austria. Here the climate is characterized by Pannonian or slightly continental weather with more than 2,000 hours of sunshine a year! The average annual rainfall is 600 mm and there are temperature fluctuations of up to almost 40° C in summer and nearly -20° C in winter.
