Where is Stegersbach?
The market town of Stegersbach is located in Güssing district in the south of the Austrian Burgenland province. It is home to 2,700 people and covers an area of about 17,77 km².
Stegersbach sits in Stramtal valley in Austria surrounded by the neighbouring municipalities of Ollersdorf in Burgenland, Olbendorf, Rauchwart, Bocksdorf, Rohr in Burgenland, Burgauberg-Neudauberg.
It is about 20 km to Füstenfeld, 34 km to Jennersdorf, 25 km to Hartberg and about 146 km to Vienna.
What's going on in Stegersbach?
Stegersbach thermal spa and golf region figures among the most prominent wellness destinations in Europe. Enjoy fun and relaxation at the public Reiters Thermal Spa Stegersbach throughout the year. The spa is open for day trippers and holidaymakers alike, offering culinary specialities, relaxation in the spa section and lots of action for kids in 'Badolins Welt'. Tourists can choose the type of lodging that suits them best: from traditional guest houses to 5* design hotels. There are a great number of spas in the surrounding Styria province such as Bad Tatzmannsdorf, Bad Waltersdorf, Loipersdorf and Bad Blumau.
Golfers find a real paradise in South Burgenland: the region covers an area of 190 ha. The linked golf area of Stegersbach Lafnitztal is the largest in Austria.
But Stegersbach does not only offer wellness, golf and spa holidays. Explore the swimming lake at Rauchwart, 600 km of bicycle routes, horseback riding areas, hiking trails and the adventurous moor trail. In bad weather do not hesitate to visit the museums and the Laser Tag Arena in Oberwart.
