Located at an altitude of 799 m, the Styrian municipality of Pichl-Reiteralm covers an area of 54,34 km² and is home to 907 people.
Situated between Schladming Tauern Mountains and the south walls of the Dachstein Mountains, Reiteralm forms the western border of Schladming-Dachstein ski resort. Having staged the 2013 Alpine World Ski Championships-WM, Reiteralm is now organising the 2017 Special Olympics.
