Alpbach was named "Austria's most beautiful village" and "Europe's most beautiful flower village" due to its uniform and unique architectural style and enchanting floral splendor. Clear air, lush meadows and the breathtaking mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps provide the ideal backdrop for active vacation days: hiking, mountain biking, paragliding or simply relaxing and letting nature work its magic on you. Enjoy the wonderful view of the mountains and the surrounding nature in advance via the Livecam in Alpbach.
The more than 900 km long network of hiking trails in the Alpbach area, with easy, medium and difficult routes, makes every hiker's heart beat faster in summer. It is not for nothing that the Alpbachtal Seenland has been awarded the Austrian Hiking Seal of Quality. Sure-footed adventurers with a head for heights await you in the three gorges - Kaiserklamm, Tiefenbachklamm and Kundler Klamm. The Brandenberger Ache near Brandenberg is also considered one of the most beautiful wild rivers in the Alps.
The European Forum Alpbach, which has existed since 1945, is an interdisciplinary platform for science, politics, business and culture. Every year, current socio-political issues are addressed and discussed with international decision-makers, an interested audience and committed young people. The Forum Alpbach attracts around 4,500 guests from over 65 countries every year, turning the Tyrolean mountain village into a "village of thinkers" in August. The program is divided into three main parts: the Seminar Week, the Alpbach Talks and the Alpbach Summer School Courses.
