South of Axams lies the Axamer Lizum ski area with the Kalkkögeln, the so-called "Dolomites of the North", where the Olympic slalom specialists once made their turns. At the "White Roof" of the Innsbruck Olympic region, winter sports enthusiasts will find everything they could wish for. 40 km of snow-sure slopes, fun slopes and the Golden Roof Park.
From the valley station, the Olympic cable car takes you to the mountain station at 2,340 m and the Hoadl-Haus panorama restaurant in no time at all, where you can enjoy Tyrolean delicacies on the large, covered sun terrace. The Hoadl also offers a fantastic view of the Kalkkögel, the Stubai Alps and the Inntal valley with a view of the city of Innsbruck.
