166 kilometres of downhill skiing served by 49 modern ski-lifts make the Ziller Valley one of Austria’s top ski areas. Zell am Ziller, Gerlos and Königsleiten form the biggest connected ski area of the Ziller Valley and Pinzgau. Gerlos is the perfect starting point to explore the Ziller Valley by ski or snowboard. Ski-pistes of all degrees of difficulty range from 1300m to 2500m. Many mountain cottages and bars invite to a little stop. Enjoy the sunny weather and the exciting view to snow-capped mountains.
There are lots of ways to spend your summer holidays in Gerlos. The ‘Berg aktiv’ (active mountain) programme includes hikes, family bicycle tours, torch walks, mountain biking – everything perfectly organized and guided by tour experts. Swimmers will enjoy the Durlaßboden reservoir located at 1600m. During the summer months the lake warms up to 21°C and is perfect after an adventurous day. Europe’s highest waterfalls, the Krimml waterfalls, are very close.
