The Austrian municipality of Ischgl is located in the federal state of Tirol at an altitude of 1,377 m. Paznaun high valley nestles between Silvretta Alps and Verwall Group, Ischgl is the most famous community of this winter sports region. The neighbouring communities are Galtür, Kappl and See. The award-winning ski resort of Samnaun Ischgl covers the area from the Austrian Paznaun to Switzerland.

Skiing in Ischgl stands for unlimited skiing from November to May. Skiers and boarders just love Silvretta Skiarena, featuring ski trails of all levels of difficulty on both sides of the border. Ischgl and Silvretta Arena are among the biggest ski resorts in Europe, boasting 238 km of pistes and 45 state-of-the-art ski lifts. The lifts take up to 93,000 passengers per hour to Idalpe, Pardatschgrat and many other mountain stations. The new Pardatschgrat Lift transports skiers to the ski resort without any queue time. To get to Idalpe, take the Silvretta and Fimba lift at the village centre. Duty-free Samnaun in Switzerland can be reached via the resort’s ski trails. Silvretta Lift Pass is valid in the entire Paznaun valley. For the perfect skiing holiday, you need to ski in Galtür, Kappl and See.
After a day skiing in Ischgl visit one of the many aprés ski bars and discos, such as Paznauer Taya, Trofana, Kuhstall, Pascha, Trofana Arena or Fire&Ice.
The two gourmet restaurants Paznauner Stube and Stüva and their chefs Martin Sieberer and Benjamin Parth both serve food of five-star quality. Schlossherrnstube, MAD Restaurant, Fliana Gourmet and Lucy Wang Restaurant are also excellent restaurants.
Today, the village of Ischgl is internationally known as the biggest party town in the Alps, with such legendary bars like Kuhstall, Posthörndl or Trofana Alm. The winter season kicks off in November and ends in May with the “Top of the Mountains” concert on Idalp, performers included Elton John, Tina Turner, Kylie Minogue, Pink, Alicia Keys, Udo Jürgens, Melanie C., Robbie Williams and many more.
