Where is Stuben?

Stuben am Arlberg is a winter sports resort in the region of Klösterle in the westernmost Austrian province of Vorarlberg. This small but traditional ski resort is home to 90 people and can be reached via the Arlberg Road, connecting all villages of the Klostertal valley and also Vorarlberg and Tirol. Stuben is close to all of the Arlberg ski resorts.

At what elevation is Stuben?

Stuben am Arlberg lies at an elevation of 1,410 m a.s.l. and is part of the 62,31 km² municipality of Klösterle. 1,793m Arlberg Pass at the end of the Klostertal valley and Arlberg Tunnel are the most important connecting roads between Vorarlberg and Tirol. Arlberg Pass, only topped by 2,809m Valluga, is entirely on Tirolean terrain.

Take Albona cable car in Stuben and at the top station ski down to Alpe Rauz, then with the lift as far up as Zürs am Arlberg. The Arlberg ski resorts, including Lech, Zürs, St. Anton, Warth, Schröcken, St. Christoph and Stuben, boast a total of 300 km of piste for all levels of ability. Arlberg features terrain parks, powder snow skiing, training hills for children and lots more. Lech high alpine X-country trail is open until spring. What ist the White Ring?

The White Ring is a legendary ski race circling Omeshorn on 22 kilometre and more than 5,000 difference in altitude. Athletes find rest and enjoy the scenery on the six lift rides between the downhills. This unique race was first organised in the winter of 2005/06 and is the world’s longest ski race. More than 1,000 athletes from all over Europe participate each year. The record is 45 minutes, averages skiers should finish this wonderful route in about two hours.
