Bolsterlang is a German municipality located between Sonthofen and Oberstdorf in the Bavarian district of Oberallgäu. It is home to 1,137 people. It is also member of Nagelfluhkette Nature Reserve – a collaboration project of Germany and Austria.
Fischen, Ofterschwang, Obermaiselstein, Balderschwang and Bolsterlang are the Allgäu Hörner Villages located at Nagelfluhkette Nature Reserve in the south of Bavaria. The region is a very popular destination known for its numerous fantastic hiking routes crisscrossing the Allgäu Alps in the summer and for its snowy trails and pistes in the winter. Hörner Villages boast a great network of hiking trails suitable for families as well as athletic hikers. There are two cable cars: one in Bolsterlang taking you up to Bolsterlanger Horn, and one in Ofterschwang up to Ofterschwanger Horn.
Hörner Villages are great places to visit for winter holidays offering a vast array of outdoor activities such as: tobogganing, ice-skating, snowshoeing or snowtubing. Skiers and riders love the various ski resorts featuring trails and pistes for all levels of ability.
Hörnerdorfer Ski Resorts:
1,665m Weiherkopf is part of Nagelfluhkette Nature Reserve and is one of the peaks of the Hörner Group. It towers above the villages Fischen im Allgäu, Oberstdorf and Balderschwang and is a very popular paragliding launch site.
At the foot of Bolsterlanger Horn you find Hörnerbahn gondola comprising two sections: one to Hörnerbahn mid-station (1,350m) – starting point for hiking tours, and one from the mid-station to Horngrat (1,540m) – between Weiherkopf and Bolsterlanger Horn.
Experience peace and calm in Bolsterlang. Hikers can choose from 75km of trails in the summer and in the winter 22km of perfectly groomed piste await skiers and riders. Stop at one of the traditional on-mountain huts and restaurants for a well-deserved break.

The region is also home to many cycle trails and paths, to Söllereck climbing forest, to golf courses, to paragliding opportunities, to archery facilities and the Oberallgäu lakes. More destinations are: Obermaiselstein Alpenwildpark, Söllereck and Breitachklamm Alpine coaster.
