The town of Donauwörth is located in the state of Bavaria in Germany. It belongs to the region Donau-Ries in the district Swabia. Donauwörth is home to around 22,100 people and covers an area of 77.04 km². Ingolstadt is 60km west of Donauwörth.
Donauwörth sits in the pre-alpine region at the southwestern hills of the Franconian Mountains and at the eastern hills of the Swabian Mountains at 410 m a.s.l.. The northern region of Swabia is hilly with no high mountains, the river Danube runs through this charming town, offering many lovely spots for recreation.
