Where is Winterberg?
The small German town of Winterberg is part of the Hochsauerland district of North Rhine-Westphalia. The town is home to 12,650 people and covers an area of 147.95 km²; it is about 115 km southeast of Dortmund, 80 km southwest of Kassel in Hesse and 150 km east of Bonn. The neighbouring communities are Olsberg, Medebach, Hallenberg, Schmallenberg and Willingen. Winterberg is a well-known winter sports centre attracting many visitors from Germany, the Netherland and Switzerland.
