In summer , a fantastic mountain panorama accompanies you on your hike or on your bike on one of the MTB trails. The Rosskopf leisure mountain (Italian: Monte Cavallo) awaits with great hiking experiences and a fantastic panoramic view of the Dolomites, Sarntal Alps, Zillertal Alps and Stubai Alps. Another highlight is the "Rosskopf Panorama Mountain Coaster" summer toboggan run. Rustic alpine pastures and huts invite you to linger with local specialties. A cable car runs from the valley station near the town center up to the Rosskopf to the Sterzing sun terrace. An ideal starting point for hiking, walking or simply enjoying the beautiful weather, the view and the sun.
The alpine town of Sterzing also has a lot to offer in winter : Skiing on the groomed slopes, lifts for tobogganing, cross-country ski trails and snowshoe hiking trails. The Rosskopf ski area - Sterzing's local mountain - with 20 km of slopes can be reached in just a few minutes. The longest floodlit toboggan run in Italy and South Tyrol can also be found here. Nothing stands in the way of a skiing vacation with the whole family: there are easy slopes for children in the ski area and the Sterzing ski school with the "Kinder Yogurt Land". For those who want a change: the Ladurns ski area is also not far from Sterzing. Curious how much snow there is already on the slopes at the Rosskopf?
