Brülisau village lies at an elevation of 924 m above sea level at the foot of Hohe Kasten in the Swiss canton of Appenzell. On their way hikers pass many places of interest and real insider tips of this charming countryside such as the world famous Wildkirchli Caves. Another popular trail leads to the alpine inn Staubern. Staubern ridge, at an elevation of 1751m above sea level, offers an unforgettable view of Alpstein, Säntis, Appenzell, Rhine Valley, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria and Germany. The alpine inn can also be reached via Frümsen cable car and on many other hiking trails.
