The Beckenried - Klewenalp region offers a variety of experiences all year round. In winter, the vast alpine region is transformed into a snow-sure ski area with around 35 kilometers of slopes for all levels. Modern cable cars take guests directly to the center of the ski arena. Sledgers also get their money's worth - around nine kilometers of toboggan runs provide winter fun with a view. Snow bars and cozy mountain inns offer culinary breaks with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
When the snow melts in spring, Klewenalp presents itself as an extensive hiking area with around 70 kilometers of well-marked trails. The gentle alpine pastures are ideal for family hikes, nature experiences and enjoying the views. The Goldi family safari is particularly popular - a combined adventure route with cable cars, boat and post bus that connects Emmetten, Seelisberg and Beckenried. If you prefer something more sporty, take a bikeboard from the Stockhütte to Emmetten or explore the Ergglen climbing garden. There, beginners and experts alike will find well-secured routes with views of the valley.
A special tip is the annual Samichlais parade in Beckenried - with market stalls, regional products and the world's largest Trichler parade, which accompanies the Samichlais through the village. This cultural event attracts visitors from all over the region and underlines the traditional character of the municipality.
