Samnaun is a municipality and village located in the region of Engiadina Bassa - Val Müstair in the canton of Grisons in Switzerland. Samnaun village lies close to the Austrian border only separated by the mountains of the Paznaun valley in Austria. Paznaun is home to legendary Ischgl ski resort, Idalp mountain station and the renowned Alp Trida on-mountain hut. Samnaun and Ischgl are connected via Silvretta Arena ski region. Lifts take you via Palinkopf, Greitspitz, Flimspitz and Idjoch to the ski trails in Austria and back again.

Skiers just love Silvretta Arena boasting ski runs of all levels of difficulty on both sides of the border. It is biggest connected ski region in Europe featuring 238 kilometres of piste and 45 state-of-the-art ski lifts. The lifts take up to 93,000 passengers per hour to Idalpe, Pardatschgrat and many other mountain stations. The new Samnaun double deck lift takes you from Samnaun - Ravaisch to Alp Trida Sattel. From here you can get to Ischgl via Idalp. Silvretta Ski Pass is also valid at the Austrian resorts of Galtür, Kappl and See ab. The holiday region of Engadin Scuol, Engadin Samnaun and Engadin Val Müstair also offers one lift ticket for three connected ski resorts.
