The Pizol ski area, accessible via the valley station in Bad Ragaz and Wangs, offers around 40 kilometers of pistes, twelve cable cars and lifts as well as modern infrastructure for skiers and snowboarders. The Pardiel (1,633 m) and Laufböden (2,226 m) mountain stations provide access to a wide variety of slopes. Night skiing is also offered on Fridays. Cross-country ski trails, toboggan runs and snowshoe hiking trails round off the winter sports offer. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can hike along the panoramic high-altitude trail and enjoy the view of the snow-covered landscape.
In summer, Bad Ragaz is transformed into a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers and golfers. The famous 5-lake hike on the Pizol is one of the most scenic tours in Switzerland. Well-marked paths lead through alpine flora and past crystal-clear mountain lakes. Two well-maintained golf courses invite you to tee off with a panoramic view of the Alps. The Rhine dam is ideal for cycling, inline skating or Nordic walking. Those seeking relaxation will find it at the Tamina Therme spa or on excursions to Heidiland, Liechtenstein, Sargans or Chur.
