Gstaad and Zweisimmen lie in the Bernese Oberland, canton of Bern in Switzerland. Both municipalities belong to the administrative district of Obersimmental - Saanen. Saanen covers an area of 120 km² and is home to around 6.900 people, 3.600 live in Gstaad.

There are several ski areas in Gstaad: Wispile, Eggli – Saanen – Chalberhöni - Videmanette and Wasserngrat. The ski resorts of Saanenmöser, Schönried, Zweisimmen, Gsteig, Lauenen and Les Diablerets - Alpes Vaudoises are also very close. Both, skiers and snowboarders enjoy visiting the region as it is a true winter wonderland.
