Where is Zweisimmen - Gstaad?

Gstaad and Zweisimmen lie in the Bernese Oberland, canton of Bern in Switzerland. Both municipalities belong to the administrative district of Obersimmental - Saanen. Saanen covers an area of 120 km² and is home to around 6.900 people, 3.600 live in Gstaad.

What to do in Zweisimmen - Gstaad in winter

There are several ski areas in Gstaad: Wispile, Eggli – Saanen – Chalberhöni - Videmanette and Wasserngrat. The ski resorts of Saanenmöser, Schönried, Zweisimmen, Gsteig, Lauenen and Les Diablerets -  Alpes Vaudoises are also very close. Both, skiers and snowboarders enjoy visiting the region as it is a true winter wonderland. The ski network of Gstaad Mountain Rides is one of the biggest and most snow reliable ski resorts in Switzerland, featuring 53 gondolas and 220 km of piste. Wilspile and Rinderberg offer night skiing on flood-lit slopes.  The more adventurous will enjoy glacier hiking or heli-skiing. Besides alpine ski runs, the region features perfectly groomed x-country skiing and winter hiking trails. At Glacier 3000 ski resort it is possible to ski and to x-country ski even in the summer. Lauenensee nature reserve is home to amazing waterfalls and high moors. Gstaad‘s first-class hotels and the fine restaurants are famous beyond the borders of Switzerland. This very diverse holiday destination is not only host to numerous sporting events, but also offers special holiday packages and deals for families with children. The neighbouring villages of Lenk, Schönried and Rougemont are always worth visiting.
