The municipality of Umhausen is located in the district of Imst in the western province of Tyrol in Austria. Over 3,450 inhabitants live in Umhausen at an altitude of 1,031 meters. The Tyrolean municipality is located in the Ötztal in a valley widening of the Murkegel of the Horlachbach and borders the Stubai Alps to the east.
The Stuibenfall is a 159-metre-high waterfall in two stages and is the highest waterfall in Tyrol.
