The village center is a cozy place: rustic inns, inviting cafés and traditional farms characterize the townscape. In summer, the surrounding area invites you to explore with around 75 km of hiking trails and other varied routes. One of the most popular tours starts at the Hörnerbahn cable car and leads along the Hörner Panorama Trail with fantastic views over the Allgäu Alps. Those looking for a special thrill can take a mountain cart ride from the mountain station down into the valley.
The region also offers a number of highlights for families: A visit to the Stone Age village, cycling, swimming in the surrounding lakes or a trip to the Söllereck summer toboggan run. Nature lovers will find variety in the nearby Breitachklamm gorge or in the Alpine Wildlife Park. In winter, Bolsterlang transforms into a small winter sports paradise: The Hörnerbahn ski area offers 17 km of pistes, ski schools and a free ski bus. For cross-country skiers, there are 15 km of groomed trails, as well as winter hiking trails, snowshoe trails, toboggan runs and torchlight hikes through the snow-covered landscape.
