Corvara is located in Italy in the South Tyrol-Trentino region and is one of the five Ladin municipalities of Val Badia. Nestled in the majestic mountain landscape of the Dolomites, the municipality extends at the foot of the Sassongher (2,665 m) and the Piz Boè (3,152 m), which can be viewed via the webcam in Corvara, at over 1,500 meters above sea level. Its location on the world-famous Sellaronda makes Corvara a central starting point for numerous sporting and cultural activities in Alta Badia. The three official languages of the region - Ladin, German and Italian - reflect the cultural diversity of the municipality. Corvara can be reached from the north via the valley road that starts in the Pustertal valley near Bruneck. The Gardena Pass (2,121 m) and Campolongo Pass (1,875 m) connect the region with Val Gardena and Arabba. However, both pass roads are often closed in winter due to weather conditions.
