Wurmberg is the town’s local mountain and the second highest of the Harz Mountain Range. Hikers enjoy the various trails such as the ones to Wurmberg, Kleine and Große Wurmbergklippe, Wurmbergsteinbruch or Bärenbrücke. Wurmberg cable car takes you from Braunlage up the mountain. It is the longest cable car in Northern Germany, boasting a fantastic view of the surrounding landscape.
Top and mid-station are the ideal starting points for charming hiking routes past mountain streams, through forests and along mountain lakes.
