Galtür is located at the head of the Paznaun Valley in the judicial district of Landeck in Tyrol in Austria, surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Silvretta group. The village is located around 35 kilometers southwest of Landeck and close to the border with Switzerland, at an impressive altitude of 1,584 m above sea level.
